YouTube empieza a mostrar vídeos con mayor calidad

YouTube ha empezado a mostrar vídeos con mayor calidad de imagen, pasando de cosas borrosas a algo más que aceptable en alguna ocasión. Lo hace mediante un mensaje debajo del vídeo, donde se nos da la opción de pasar a más calidad. Además, si somos usuarios registrados, también podemos configurarlo desde nuestra cuenta para que, por defecto, los vídeos se muestren con mayor resolución.

Lo cierto es que de momento son muy muy pocos los vídeos que están incluyendo estas dos opciones de visualización.

Elegí este artículo porque me parece importante que Youtube aumente la calidad de sus videos porque así se veran mucho mejor y, además, es una herramienta muy utilizada por todos.

ReadTheWords: servicio web gratuito para convertir todo tipo de textos a audio

Este excelente servicio lee textos desde varias fuentes como pueden ser sitios web, archivos de Microsoft Word, PDF, HTML o feeds RSS. también podemos ingresar una URL para que el sistema lea directamente el texto disponible en ese sitio.

Luego de ingresar el texto que queremos que nos lea, podemos escucharlo directamente en el sitio o descargarlo en formato MP3 para escucharlo luego en nuestra PC o reproductor portáttil.

Próximamente: Vídeos en Flickr

Cuando a mediados del año 2005, YouTube se dio a conocer al mundo, muchos lo caracterizaban como una especie de Flickr pero de vídeos. En ese entonces, Flickr (la comunidad virtual en la que los usuarios colocan fotografías) era un nuevo paradigma.

Desde hace mucho, son varios los que esperan una reestructuración de Flickr que permita incorporar la opción de subir vídeos por parte de los usuarios. Al parecer, hay fuertes rumores de que este será el camino de acción de Yahoo! para otorgarle mayor competitividad a Flickr.
